Community Conversations

In January of 2010, Post Oil began facilitating conversations framed around the question,

"How do we work together to make our communities healthier and more sustainable?"

After introductions, we have an extensive go-around in which everyone who cares to discusses their projects, interests they're pursuing, or ideas that they have about food, energy, transportation, health care, housing, the local economy and so forth.

The second part of the evening is devoted to breakout groups, where people can gather either with a person involved with a particular project to explore it further and discover how they might become involved, or initiate their own discussion group.

Recently, the Southern Vermont Co-op Power group, the Brattleboro Time Trade, and the Brattleboro Mobility Task Force were present to talk about their work. The evening concludes with time for networking.

Meetings are currently held at Elliot St. Cafe the second Wednesday of every month!
