Greater Falls Regional Food Hub

Vision:

To become a region that is food secure, food just, and food self-sufficient.

Mission:

As part of Post Oil Solutions Regional Food Sustainability Campaign, the Greater Falls Regional Food Center Project is intended to help build the social, economic, and educational infrastructure necessary to support the availability of locally-produced foods that are affordable to everyone in the community.

Goals:

This infrastructure would include:

  1. a licensed, commercial, food processing kitchen (that, amongst other things, would enable farmers to do value-added products, and new entrepreneurs to start local food products businesses);
  2. a variety of storage facilities that would allow local food to be available 12 months of the year;
  3. and down the road, it is hoped that this will further evolve into a regional retail/wholesale distribution outlet for fresh, stored, and processed local food that would serve Windham and Windsor Counties in Vermont, as well as Sullivan and Cheshire Counties in New Hampsire.
