The mission of the Windham County Farm to School Program is to provide comprehensive Farm to School programming throughout Windham County to improve student nutrition, health, and academic performance, while supporting the development of a strong community-based food system.

Post Oil Solutions (POS) is proud to announce the decision to transition the Windham County Farm to School (WCFTS) program into an independent organization. This better enables WCFTS to further develop and expand quality programming in linking the 3Cs of “classroom, cafeteria and community”. Richard Berkfield, Katherine Gillespie and Hanna Jenkins will continue to lead the new organization.

WCFTS has been an important program of POS for the past 3 years and will continue to receive the full support of POS during the transition process and beyond. POS continues to be a community organizing initiative whose philosophy is to support and launch new projects consistent with our mission to develop sustainable, resilient and socially just communities.

Stay tuned for updates!
